Technical Writer
Bretten, DE, 75015
Who are we
We are a small, growing team looking for a new member to join our technical writing team. We take care of the user documentation of the SEEBURGER Cloud applications in our Cloud online help. The online help is topic-based and is currently created by us using Adobe FrameMaker. It also contains video tutorials, which we also take care of. As part of the UX writing, we are responsible for the German and English UI texts in the applications. Teamwork is important to us - it's important to us that we approach each other and work together on projects to develop and implement the best ideas. We think big: As #Businessaccelerators, we are always questioning how our processes work, how we collaborate with other departments and what we can improve or change in order to advance ourselves and also SEEBURGER.
Your tasks
We use the whole range of editorial skills and we are happy if you feel like getting involved in different areas of responsibility. We will gladly make sure that you can set your personal priorities on your favorite topics.
After your initial training, you will be assigned specific cloud applications for which you will be given responsibility in our team. For each cloud application, there are the following information products to maintain:
- Online Help: Conceptualize and update user documentation in regular coordination and collaboration with the respective development team and product management.
- Release Notes: Review and English translation of software update information prepared for customers.
- UX Writing: Review of UI texts in English and German.
In addition, you will take care of the proofreading and English translation of various information products, such as emails to customers or operational information commissioned by other departments. To ensure that we all pull together internally, you will help create and maintain our internal team documentation.
What you need to bring
Your heart swells when you can hyphenate, when you define rules and processes to create consistency and you see it as your core competence to think outside the box? Then you've come to the right place! It would be nice if you have professional experience. You should also be mentally flexible - one day with us is rarely like the next. Boring is somewhere else. We also see ourselves as central communicators, so it is important that you are open to others and can quickly build a network.
Your personal and professional development is very important to us. At SEEBURGER, you will have the opportunity to attend appropriate training and development sessions and work on projects that will further your development at SEEBURGER.
If you are now sure that you fit in with us, we look forward to receiving your application. From your cover letter, we would like to know what makes you tick, what skills you bring to the table and how you can contribute to our team. Please supplement your cover letter with a resume and your diplomas and references.
